The importance of trade school graduates, Quote from Tom in USA Today Article

Tom Shorma spoke with USA Today reporter Adam Stone for an article in the July issue's magazine called, "Even Trade: Learning a manual skill can lead to a lucrative career." The article includes a quote from Tom about the importance of having trade school graduates available to fill manufacturing jobs to keep the business moving forward.

The article states:

As CEO of manufacturing company WCCO Belting in Wahpeton, N.D., Tom Shorma depends on trade school graduates to keep production moving.

"The hardest thing is to find people who like to do things with their hands, people who can roll-up their sleeves and do hard mechanical skills: twist a wrench, drill something. The majority of our jobs don't need a four-year degree," Tom said in the article.
